Give your AI teammate LinkedIn: Crispy for dots and Grok Bot

Connect an OpenAI dot or Grok Bot to Crispy so your AI teammate can research, triage, draft, and prepare reviewed LinkedIn outreach.

By Daan

An always-on AI teammate is most useful when it can work with the systems where business happens. OpenAI dots and Grok Bot each provide a persistent cloud computer for planning and coordination. Crispy adds a structured LinkedIn action layer. The agent decides what work to do. Crispy supplies the tools, account permissions, and safety limits for LinkedIn.

That separation matters. A dot or Bot is the agent layer. It can break down a goal, browse, work with files, and coordinate tools. Crispy is the LinkedIn layer. It exposes focused operations for profiles, conversations, content, and outreach. Connecting the two does not remove your responsibility to review consequential actions.

Four jobs are a strong fit. First, research: ask the agent to find relevant people and organize what it learns. Second, inbox triage: let it summarize conversations and identify replies that need attention. Third, content drafting: use your writing style and research to prepare posts for review. Fourth, reviewed outreach: let it draft messages or a campaign plan, then require a person to approve invitations, sends, posts, and launches.

Start with read-only work and drafts. A useful first task is an inbox summary that explicitly forbids sending messages, invitations, posts, deletion, or campaign launch. Add write actions only after you understand the proposed steps. Sending, publishing, deleting, purchasing, and launching campaigns should always require explicit human approval.

The recommended connection is Crispy's MCP endpoint with OAuth. OAuth lets you sign in to Crispy, select the correct account, review permissions, and approve access without pasting an API key into a chat. Follow the OpenAI dots guide or the Grok Bot guide for the platform-specific setup.

The Crispy CLI is an advanced option for a connected computer that is already authenticated. The REST API at `https://crispy.sh/api/v1` is another advanced route for custom workflows. Most people should start with MCP and OAuth because it gives the agent a discoverable tool surface and a clear authorization flow.

Platform access can vary. OpenAI custom MCP app availability and write support depend on plan, rollout, and workspace policy. Grok connector and MCP access can also depend on account and team controls. Check the official OpenAI dots documentation, OpenAI MCP app guidance, xAI Grok Bot overview, and xAI connector documentation for current platform details.

Crispy is an independent product. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn, OpenAI, or xAI. The connection uses supported integration surfaces where they are available. It does not imply an official platform approval.

The result is a practical division of labor. Your AI teammate handles context and coordination. Crispy gives it precise LinkedIn tools with enforced limits. You keep control of the actions that reach another person or change external state.
