'Invalid credentials' error
This error means a session between Crispy and LinkedIn has expired. It is routine and fixable in under a minute.
- Go to your Crispy dashboard.
- Click on the affected LinkedIn account.
- Click 'Reconnect' and complete the authentication flow.
- Allow a minute for the session to initialize, then retry the action.
Why it can hit only some actions
LinkedIn runs Sales Navigator on a separate sub-session from your main login, and the two expire on different schedules. That is why you can see 'Invalid credentials - your Sales Navigator subscription may have expired' on advanced search while classic search, messaging, and your feed keep working. When that happens you have two options:
- Retry with linkedin_api set to 'classic' (in the CLI:
--api classic) to fall back to basic LinkedIn search immediately. - Reconnect from the dashboard, which restores both sessions at once.
Not the same as an API key error
'Authentication failed. Check your API key.' is a different problem: your Crispy API key is missing, revoked, or mistyped. That one is fixed on the API Keys page of the dashboard (create a key, then crispy auth login <key> in the CLI), not by reconnecting LinkedIn.
If 'Invalid credentials' persists after a completed reconnect, contact [email protected] with your account ID.
