Searching your saved leads and contacts
Crispy keeps a local database of the leads and contacts you have saved, imported, or touched through campaigns. search_leads searches that database, not live LinkedIn, so it is instant and costs zero API budget.
Filter by:
querymatches first, last, or full namestatusfilters to new, contacted, replied, or qualifiedtagsmatches contacts carrying any of the given tagscompanyfilters by company namelimitdefaults to 50 (max 500)
This complements the two other search surfaces. search_people searches LinkedIn's live directory for people you have never seen. search_connections searches your synced 1st-degree network. search_leads searches your own pipeline: everyone you have deliberately saved or imported, with the status and tags you have put on them.
Typical uses:
- 'Show me all replied leads' each morning to triage responses.
- 'Find every qualified lead at Stripe' before planning a follow-up push.
- 'Pull everyone tagged webinar-june' to assemble a focused shortlist for a campaign.
If you use Sales Navigator, there is also save_sales_navigator_lead, which saves a profile as a lead inside Sales Navigator itself (by provider ID, slug, or URL). That keeps your SN lead lists in sync with what your agent finds, though it requires an active Sales Navigator seat.
Common mistake: expecting search_leads to find someone you have never interacted with. If they are not in your contact database yet, use search_people first, or add them with add_lead.
Pro tip: statuses and tags are only as useful as you make them. Have your agent tag contacts at the moment it finds them, and filtering later becomes effortless.
