'LinkedIn requires verification' errors

Sometimes an action fails with: 'LinkedIn requires verification. Please log in to LinkedIn directly and complete any security checks.'

This means LinkedIn placed a checkpoint in front of your session: a 2FA prompt, a device confirmation, a captcha, or a similar verification step. Until it is cleared, actions through that session fail.

To fix it:

  1. Open linkedin.com in your normal browser and log in.
  2. Complete whatever verification LinkedIn shows.
  3. Go to your Crispy dashboard, open the affected account, and click 'Reconnect'.
  4. If LinkedIn shows another checkpoint inside the reconnect flow, complete that one too. The reconnect does not count until the checkpoint clears.
  5. Give it a minute, then retry the action.

Step 3 matters. Signing back into LinkedIn in a browser tab on its own does not tell Crispy anything; the reconnect flow is what refreshes the session Crispy uses.

Reducing repeats

Checkpoints are LinkedIn's normal reaction to something it finds unusual, like a new device or a jump in activity. Things that help:

  • Ramp new accounts gradually instead of running at full capacity on day one. Warm-up mode exists exactly for this.
  • Keep daily activity within the default safety limits.
  • Do not run multiple automation tools against the same LinkedIn account at the same time.

If verification loops (you clear it, reconnect, and immediately hit another checkpoint), contact [email protected] with your account ID.
